The Italians know how to make great coffee and De’Longhi is one of the most highly regarded brand of coffee makers. This model is at the entry level of their range, but offers all that most of us are likely to need.
It can be used with either coffee beans or ground coffee and offers a burr grinder – the best type. Press one button and you get one or two cups of fresh espresso. Not much longer to wait and you can get a latte or cappuccino.
The only major difference between this and more expensive models is that it doesn’t have fancy controls to save individual settings for different users (different levels of coarseness for the grinding, etc) No great handicap, I think.
I must say however that the freshly ground and made coffee smell is actually even more of an attraction than the taste! Apparently great for showing your house off if you’re trying to sell?
